I haven't posted here in a long time. Last year I merged my two companies into one. Soon our new website will go live, that will properly explain all our services. We are now able to better service our clients. We have been, and still do, provide DJ and Photographer services to weddings, corporate events, or any party or event. We are now LifeTiled (Design,Photography,Events)
Not only can we provide DJ Entertainment and Photography Coverage for your next event, but our design division can create a custom website for you to share your memories with guests, family and friends. We can also design "save the date cards" or any printed items you may need for your next function. We will post the new website as soon as we can.

It was a lot of fun to shoot the engagement pics for Jacqui & Cameron. We drove out to Mystic recently for their photo shoot. We took a walk to various locations to shoot their pics. Special thanks to Mystic Draw Bridge Ice Cream, that not only let us use their place for some pics, but provided Jacqui & Cameron an ice cream "prop" on the house. They also offered for my work to be displayed on the wall of their famous place. Also thanks to Mystic Pizza. Ferraro Events was the DJ last Friday night for a "girls night out" party at Gaetano's Tavern On Main in Wallingford. Judi Ackerman and Beth Bianco, both Silpada Jewelry Representatives, teamed up to host the party. The party featured music (of course :) ), drinks, raffles and Silpada jewelry. Agnes & Michael's Wedding

I had the pleasure recently, to be able to provide the music and entertainment for Michael and Agnes at their wedding reception. They were a great couple to work with, and their wedding was beautiful and a lot of fun. The reception featured the bride, who wore 3 distinctively different dresses over the course of the reception. The reception was held at the Inn at Longshore in Westport Connecticut. They chose Ferraro Events ,wedding entertainment package, that included 2 DJ's, a full lighting package, a video screen that was used to display their engagement pictures during dinner, and it was used later in the evening to project pictures of guests having fun on the dancefloor. The videography for the event was handled by Digital Ink and the photography by Studio1923. Congrats to the bride and groom. See the brides comments below!

I wanted to thank you for your help on the big day, we are really happy with how everything turned out, and it's no short of all the great work you, Jerome and Marcin did too! Thanks again for being so nice and easy to work with!

Melanie and Joe wanted to stay local to have their pics taken. They chose the Connecticut Shoreline. We headed down to Lighthouse Point in New Haven where they have the historic Carousel. Joe had never been to the park, so it was a nice place to visit. We found a few fun spots to shoot the photos. We even had a nice "city" backdrop. My Companies, Ferraro Events and Lifetiled teamed up at the recent Chamber Business Expo at the Holiday Inn in North Haven. I was the M/C for the event and also provided the music for Lifetiled's "Red Carpet Experience" We set up a back drop, lights, Marliyn Monroe and James Dean cutouts and various Hollywood Decorations. We also had the girls from Vitamin Water passing out samples as our red carpet sponsors. We took pics of vendors and quests and made a photo gallery on www.virtualbusinessexpo.org. We also took pics of all the businesses that were set up there. We had a great time as always and made some great connections. Thanks to my partners for all their help.

For the second year in a row, I was invited to take pictures at Wallingford Center Inc.'s Oldies Dinner Dance. My other company, Lifetiled, designed and hosts the website of Wallingford Center Inc. Wallingford Center Inc. is a private, non profit organization whose purpose is the beautification, preservation and promotion and economic revitalization of Wallingfords center. New Video Screens

Ferraro Events is constantly investing in some of the latest and greatest sound and visual equipment. The latest addition to our visual lineup is our lycra spandex video screen. It is unlike most video screens. The picture can be projected from the rear, so our projector won’t take up valuable dance floor space. Adding a video or slide show to a DJ setup can have a significant impact on the focus of your next party. It's added details like a video screen that really make parties stand out. If you are planning a wedding or any function, a slide show is a great way to add some personality to your event or to give your guests a sentimental visual feature. Our screens are a one-size-fits-all, and can stretched into many different sizes and shapes.
The great thing about this screen is that it can be directly incorporated into our existing lighting package. The trussing system used for our intelligent lighting , is perfect to support the screen, while also supporting our computerized, intelligent DJ lighting pieces. During meal courses, slide-shows and video montages are displayed on the screen, while during periods of dancing, the screen doubles as an added light show, as music , visual effects and dance floor photos or videos are displayed on the screen. 2nd Annual Testa Fiesta Chili Competition

Last Saturday was the second annual Testa Fiesta Chili Competition at Testa's Banquet Facility in Southington. 7 local business and 1 group, competed for trophies in three categories. The cost to get in was only $10 with a portion going to benefit Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Once you were in, you were able to have Chili from all 8 vendors. I got a chance to do just that, and I was surprised on how many different ways there were to make Chili. They were all good. The winner for the best presentation, for the second year in a row, was The Groggy Frog. The hottest chili was from Pig Out BBQ. The winner for the best Chili was Jerzie Joes. The Ultimate Thank You

I have been meaning to share the above thank you card I received before the holidays. What a great card to receive. It was from Pat & Cristina Tomas. I was the DJ at their wedding reception held on November 3rd, 2007 at The Farmington Club. They recently celebrated their 1 year anniversary and decided to send me a card. I never take a couples big day lightly and always put my best effort into each wedding I do. I am grateful to make friends with a lot of my clients and I always appreciate their feed back and fine words, but this card gave me the extra warm and fuzzys. What a great couple to think of me a year after their wedding. Happy Anniversary to Pat and Cristina. Below, you can read the text of the above card.

By now, all of us have removed our Christmas trees from our homes, but it is never too early to start thinking about next Christmas. :) Just kidding. I did want to share some photos of the place I got my tree this year. It wasn't far from my house and didn't know it existed until recently. Leavenworth Tree Farm in Cheshire, had some of the nicest fields and trees I have seen in a long time. I had the pleasure recently of spending a little time with the Carasone Family. They wanted to get together for a family portrait, since their son was home from the Marines for a few days. I went to their house to shoot the photos. We did about 60 photos total of different arrangements and of them in different outfits. We also had a chance to have a little fun with some of the photos. I always like to get the "serious" portrait type shots and also the playful family pics.

Ferraro Events helped organize an event held at Testa's Banquet Facility in Southington. It was an Italian night featuring a 5 course authentic Italian meal, DJ entertainment by Ferraro Events and the live Italian singing of Marcello Sparagna. A great time was had by all. The night also included a surprise performance by one of the guests, the famous Tenor singer, Aaron Caruso. The next Italian night is planned for Jan. 15, 2009. Southington High School Class of 93 Reunion

Ferraro Events provided the music and entertainment at the 15th Year reunion of Southington Highschool Class of 1993. The event was held at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. The grounds were beautifully lit up and decorated for the holiday season. The dancing lasted until 12:30 am. I would like to thank the class for choosing my services once again. I did the same at their 10th reunion and hope to see everyone again in 5 years.

Thanksgiving came early this year for Jennifer & Tom Hardy. They had their wedding and reception at the historic Publick House in Sturbridge Massachusetts, founded in 1771. A beautiful outdoor night wedding was followed by a Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings. Click on the above photo to play a mini slide show. Pete and Arlene's wedding was held on a recent, perfect fall day. The day started at 7am at LA Hair in Wallingford. The ceremony was at the High Point Chapel In Wolcott. The chapel is on the same grounds as where the reception was held, at Mahan's Lakeview. The beautiful ceremony was followed by a great reception with a chocolate fountain and a huge dessert table :)
